Cities Race to Zero (CRTZ)

The Race to Zero is a global campaign run by the COP26 Presidency and High-Level Climate Champions to rally leadership and support from businesses, cities, regions and investors for a healthy, resilient, zero carbon transition that prevents future threats, creates decent jobs, and unlocks inclusive, sustainable growth.

CRTZ has the goal of recruiting 1000 cities to the Race to Zero in an effort to mobilize an unprecedented coalition of cities committed to setting science-based targets and start implementing inclusive and resilient climate action.

Letter to Ministers: Key Ideas for Budget 2021 Low Income Energy Efficiency Program

In solidarity with energy justice and low-income energy efficiency policy and program implementers and researchers from across Canada, CUSP co-submitted a letter to federal ministers responsible for funding retrofits and low income programs (ECCC, NRCan and CMHC).

The letter calls on the federal government to lower barriers to participation in these programs, to consult and co-create with local and regional program implementers already doing trusted work in this space.
